Christmas 2022 Newsletter

Seasons Greeting to you all, and thank you for all of your support this year!

It has been an immensely busy year for Regents Opera as we have embarked on the epic adventure of our new Ring Cycle, which will culminate in 2024.

We also recorded an album! Wagner by Arrangement is a selection of excerpts which will give you a taster of the entire Regents Opera Ring Cycle to come. Arranged by our artistic director Ben Woodward and featuring Catharine Woodward, Philip Modinos, Keel Watson and Holden Madagame), it is available to buy or download here

Furthermore, our orchestral study days have continued in full swing with three operas; Tippett's The Midsummer Marriage (featuring Philippa Boyle and Robin Whitehouse), Korngold's Die Tote Stadt (with Jillian Finnamore and Brian Smith Walters) and last but not least Bizet's Carmen (starring Ingeborg Børch), because the tour just wasn't enough!

Looking ahead to next year, as well as continuing our critically acclaimed Ring Cycle with productions of Die Walküre, we also have a tour of Cosi Fan Tutte.

As always, we thank you for all of your support and we hope we can continue to thrill and delight you all. It is a difficult time for the arts right now and so, as we wish you all a wonderful holiday season, we would like to encourage you to consider becoming a friend (if you aren't already) or if you are looking for last minute gift ideas, book tickets to one of our productions or even give the gift or a Regents Opera friends membership! You might even win a ticket to the full Ring Cycle if you buy your Die Walküre tickets before 23:59 on 1st January.

If that is not within your budget, please do consider a one off donation instead, so that we may continue onwards and upwards, making large scale operas accessible and affordable to all.
